One of the things that makes us unique is our ability to manufacture items completely from start to finish at our premises. A very small percentage of what we do is outsourced.

The following are additional services you may not realise we can help you with.
  • Electropolishing – a process that makes your stainless steel items shiny like new again.
  • Hand Polishing – a process that finishes your stainless steel in an extremely high polished standard
  • Tube bending
  • Folding
  • Water jet cutting
  • Laser Cutting

Manta has their own onsite facilities to electropolish a wide range of different shapes and sizes.

What is it used for?

Electropolishing is a process that improves the visual finish on stainless steel products. It is used for our newly made products and can also refurbish products that have lost their shine or become what is commonly known as tea staining. Tea staining is caused by impurities sitting on the surface of the stainless steel products. Electropolishing removes those impurities. After electropolishing your stainless steel will be back to its original shiny finish.

Hand polishing

We have three skilled employees who look after all our hand polishing requirements.

What is it used for?

Hand polishing is used to remove any visual defects on stainless steel to give the final smooth appearance on welded joins etc.
This process is predominately used to give your products a high level polish equal to a mirror finish. Mostly used for super yachts or tenders and high end commercial applications where a visual effect is paramount.

Tube bending

Manta performs the mandrel bending technique to ensure we get the best bends and results.

What is it used for?

Mandrel bending is a technique for bending tube without braking or wrinkling the tube at the bend. Mandrel bending will give you the best visual and accurate results with close to zero deformations. This allows us to bend very tight radius on light wall tube.

Stainless Steel Sheet Folding

Manta has recently invested in a new press brake to ensure we get the precise finish we are wanting when folding sheets of material.

What is it used for?

When manufacturing fuel tanks and commercial kitchen fitouts we require accurate folding measurements to work for our clients, as quite often these units are going into size restricting areas. Having the correct machine ensures we are able to do this.

Waterjet Cutting

Manta has its own in-house watercutter allowing us to cut directly from drawings through a multitude of materials.

What is it used for?

Almost all of our products have some part that has been cut out of sheet to our precise measurements and is then manufactured into a completed product.
We have clients requesting cut outs from a multitude of varying materials such as tiles, glass, 150mm thick steel, fibreglass, granite and stone.

Custom Fabrication

Due to the range of machinery and experience that Manta has we are able to complete your project from start to finish in house including helping you with your initial design. This enables us to control the quality and end product finish for bespoke one off items.

We recently did a fitout for Burger King.
